The review, from Music Tech magazine, praises the "excellent recording quality", the "fat, wobbly basses" and the "good selection of squelchy, crisp and biting samples for the more discerning electro producer."

'Funky as hell'
 Recording magazine is the latest to review Minimal & Tech-House, and they're fans! "The drum loops absolutely nail the minimal/tech sound," writes Francis Preve. "Better still, the grooves themselves are funky as hell, some with swing, others straight up. The bass and music loops may sound a tad naked in places, but don't be misled. When combined with the rhythms, they come alive. What's more, some wonderfully warped vocal loops are far more innovative than other offerings I've heard, with automated effects and stutter edits galore. Finally, if you're a commercial or video producer, the 58 combi loops are perfect fodder for new cues and awesome beds for voice-overs. All in all, M&TH is a clear winner."

 Remix mag in the States has turned its reviewer's eye to Sunset Sessions - with glowing results. The review speaks of "exquisitely played double-bass", "strong and intelligent" beats and "gorgeous" Rhodes. "Sunset Sessions offers a mature and organically seductive sound to lounge music traveling in the slow lane," it concludes.

 Our world dance release Around the World in 80 Raves is the latest to take the review chair, featuring in the April edition of Computer Music. "The samples are deliciously clean and wide - although there’s plenty of lo-fi grit where required," they write. gets its first review in the March edition of Computer Music magazine.
Here's what they say: "Yet another minimal house sample library,
Minimal & Tech-House thankfully manages to avoid obsolescence

being rather good.
The contributing producers are obviously familiar with the conventions
of the genres, and the samples are all
of a high standard.
The music and synth loops – usually the least useful aspects of these
libraries – are tastefully done and quite inspirational, as

Best sample CD of the year at NAMM
Sample
Magic's Electro-House
has been voted Best Sample Collection of the Year at Remix
magazine's annual technology awards.
The results, announced at the NAMM pro-audio conference in Los Angeles,
saw
Sample Magic awarded among brand names like Apple, Native Instruments,
Moog and Korg. The judges wrote: "It's very
rare that a
sample collection that tries to encapsulate a trendy yet undeniably
appealing subgenre such as this one does it so well, without being
redundant or relying on clichés." Sample Magic partner Sharooz Raoofi
is pictured holding the coveted award with Markkus Rovito, Technology
Editor at Remix. You can also check out Sharooz being interviewed about

Accolades from the top...
Sample
Magic has
received an email from multi-platinum producer Jason Nevins. Jason is
responsible for remixes for the likes of Duran Duran, Kelly
Clarkson and Cypress Hill. His monumental hit remix of
Run DMC's 'It's Like That' forever etched his name in the dance music
hall of fame. Since then he's gone on to remix a whole host of
chart-topping acts. Jason's particular favourite releases are Electro-House and
Breakbusters.

One year old today
Yes, it's true, Sample Magic
is one year old today.
Twelve months ago we released Funky House Grooves to an unexpected
sample-loving public, reaping a Sound on Sound 5 star review and
selling out of our first print run within just six months. Without
resting, we moved on to release Breakbusters, Transmission-X, Electro
House and our most recent, Sunset Sessions - all to continued critical
acclaim and all to ever most positive feedback from an ever-growing fan
base. It's no mean feat keeping quality paramount while tracking down
the very best producers in their niche genres, but we hope we've done
it - keeping our sounds fresh and a passion for inspiration in every
24-bit sample we select. There are a whole host of exciting ventures on
the cards at SM HQ, but suffice to say we've got three
zeitgeist-surfing releases lined up before Christmas - incuding SM006
coming next month. Watch this space for more. Other than that, it
remains to thank you - our supporters and customers - for keeping the
Sample Magic buzz alive.

saying: "These loops will blow your mind with pure excitement. I only
wish I had come across them a few years back." Of Electro House,
